John Lloyd and Angel in an “Unofficially” different love story

PRESS RELEASE:

After having been paried with other stars, John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin get into an “unofficially different” love story in Star Cinema’s pre-Valentine offering.

Directed by Cathy Garcia Molina, “Unofficially Yours” is the story of two people from opposite sides of love.  The guy, played by John Lloyd, believes in commitment and permanence while the girl, played by Angel, believes otherwise.

“It’s a different kind of Valentine story,” said Cathy who is noted for directing feel-good, box-office romances.

In the story, John Lloyd plays Mackie Galvez, 28, a practicing dentist who believes in permanent relationship even if he’s just moving on from the end of a long-term relationship with his girlfriend.  Before he starts work as a lifestyle reporter for a broadsheet, in his desire to try something new, Mackie is treated by friends to a night out during which he has a one-night-stand with a girl whose names he never knows.

Imagine his big surprise when he reports for work and learns that the girl, Ces Bricento, 27, is the paper’s senior lifestyle reporter under whom he’s going to be an apprentice. A guy who believes in commitment meets a girl who doesn’t believe in commitment, and who assures him that their one-night-stand shouldn’t get in the way of their working relationship.

Inevitably, they have another one-night-stand, followed by several more, until Mackie finds himself falling in love with Ces.  How will people whose beliefs in love are poles apart end up…together or apart?

Like John Lloyd, Angel has been paired with other leading men including Aga Muhlach in the hit Star Cinema romance-drama “In The Name of Love.”  John Lloyd was last seen with Toni Gonzaga in “My Amnesia Girl.”

Its Cathy’s first time to direct Angel but not the first with John Lloyd.

“That’s why I’m so happy that I finally got the chance to work with her,” said Angel.
